Great one.

Here's another one for you. We all know dolphins are smart, but did you know that half of their brain is asleep at all times. It switches back and forth, sometimes the right side is asleep, sometimes the left. This means they can stay awake and alert 24 hours a day. A typical man, after 8 days of no sleep, would die, same with rats. Our immune systems would quit working. Birds are also like dolphins, they can sleep with one eye open while the other side sleeps. I saw it on Discovery the other day, great show and made me so much smarter. Just wish I could retain it :)
